I collect toys. 1/12 and 1/6 scale action figures to be more specific. I hunt for toy bargains in stores as big as Walmart and small as the local yard sale. I use these toys to tell stories. They are the stories of my youth. Back when I had a "beginner's mind."

Toys are good for the soul no matter how old you are and using diorama scenes combined with action figures has proven to be way more fun than I ever imagined.

I am a retired professsional photographer so I use my camera and my figures to build interesting sets that I photograph and share with others. I also teach people how to do what I do.

Sometimes I feel like a five-year-old boy trapped in an old man's body. If you want to learn how to photograph action figures/toys I can help. And as for the collection bug - if you can relate let's collaborate.

Remember — Toys are joy.

NOTE: I do, from time-to-time run affiliate links inside the articles I publish on Medium. If you click on those links and order a product, I receive minimal compensation. This compensation in no way impacts the price you pay at any vendor other than to reduce – rather than increase it. I only list affiliate links that I believe lead to fair prices and products.

I'm providing this information so that the audience can have all the facts available to them when judging the writing I do here on Medium.

I just started a page dedicated to my toy and action figure photography on Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/bourne.scott/ If you follow me here and/or there, I'll follow you back.
