Lego Imperial Cruiser

TOYPHOTOGRAPHS
1 min readApr 17, 2023

My friend brought over his Lego Imperial Cruiser and I photographed it against a blue screen. Then I composited it out against an AI Background I created in Jasper AI. I continue to try to explore the comic book look for my toy photos. This approach relies more on creating “graphics” than photos. And it’s challenging because I have no training in that genre. But I do have inspiration since I have been buying lots of comics lately and looking at illustration style they use. I think a lot of photographers could learn from studying comics since the basics of design, composition and even light are there to be studied. Anyway, any kind of challenge that involves a camera is always fun for me.

I used my Fujifilm X Series US X100V to photograph the cruiser. Light is from the B&H Half Moon 18" LED bounced off the ceiling.

I used Photoshop, BorisFX Optics and Jasper AI in post to finish the image.

Remember, toys are joy.

I'm a toy photographer. I'm also delving into AI Art. I also help people get the most out of their Fuji X100 series cameras. (C) 2023
