Red Guardian I

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Black Widow, meet Red Guardian. Alexei is known most famously as Red Room’s answer to Captain America. He’s a Super-Soldier spy who has lived a lifetime of triumph during the Cold War.

I used my Fujifilm X Series US #x100v mounted on a Platyball attached to a Platypod to capture this image. The background is an image I created using AI and then had printed 20x30". I used two Lume Cube Panel Pro lights — dialed in to red of course. And there’s one Lume Cube Mini LED 2 overhead coming down across the character’s face to allow me to keep his facial tones more true to form.

I used a combination of Photoshop and Topaz Photo AI as well as BorisFX 2022 to edit in post.
